Christmas is always a special time at New Life Homes Trust, and this year we were incredibly grateful to see that spirit reflected in the efforts of two of our Trustees. Through creativity, generosity, and a lot of heart, Anna Wright and Bev Stockley each found their own way to raise vital funds in support of the children and young people we care for. Their fundraising reminds us that there’s no single way to make a difference – whether it’s bringing people together over tea and cake or quietly crafting something meaningful, every effort truly counts. Anna and Bev share their Christmas fundraising activities below.
Fundraising Through Friendship and Cake
“David and I have been trustees of New Life Homes for many years, and it has been a real pleasure to continue supporting the charity in this way. This year, I was delighted to host two afternoon teas in aid of New Life Homes, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed and very well supported.

I would like to take this opportunity to offermy heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of these events. Thank you to all who baked so generously, donated raffle prizes, poured and drank tea, washed up, bought raffle tickets, and of course ate cake – and there was a lot of cake! Every contribution, large or small, played an important part in raising much-needed funds for the charity.
Once again, I was reminded how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such generous friends and family. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to help make these events not only successful fundraisers but also genuinely joyful occasions. We are extremely grateful for the continued support shown to New Life Homes.
P.s we raised £800!”

Crochet Creations for a Good Cause

“I’ve been crocheting Christmas tree decorations at a local craft group, and someone suggested selling them in aid of New Life through a nearby craft shop. I hesitantly took a few along, but the shop owner had no hesitation at all in supporting the idea. They kindly placed them in a basket on the counter alongside a New Life Homes poster and agreed to sell them commission free.
I don’t yet know the total amount raised, but every little helps! I’ve now swapped the Christmas decorations for other crochet gifts, which are currently on sale at the local craft shop.”
Bev Stockley
We are so grateful to Anna and Bev for their time, creativity and generosity. Their fundraising reflects the heart of New Life Homes – a community of people who care deeply and step forward in whatever way they can. Every effort, large or small, helps us continue supporting the children who rely on us.
